Function

The ABB COPA-XE measures liquid flow using Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. As conductive fluid passes through the magnetic field generated within the flow tube, a voltage proportional to flow velocity is induced and measured by the transmitter. This allows highly accurate flow measurement without mechanical wear or obstruction within the pipe.
